Voice over narration is my love and passion, my name is Leo Donato.
(*****clears his throat*****)
Telling the story that is presented on the screen through images is an art form. This piece from a narration I did on The Everglades tells the story of a natural wonder. It should be playing now. Can you hear it?
Are you listening? (hint: turn on your speakers... or turn up the volume on your computer...)
VOICEOVER: The everglades, the most famous wetland in the world. Ninety-eight percent of it is untouched by humans, yet our behavior effects every inch. Now venture off the beaten path and uncover a dramatic story. A tale of hidden water and an incredible thirst that threatens all of life. It's a desperate fight for the wilderness and the wildness of the everglades.
This is wilderness beyond what the tourists see. There's only one road through the everglades and few visitors ever leave it. Beyond, there are hidden wonders, a vast river of grass flows into the largest stretch of protected mangroves in the United States and one of the most important wetlands on earth meets the sea; all together one point five million acres of protected habitat.
The everglades was the first national park in America preserved purely for it's diversity of life. Thousands of species that live or visit here need the everglades to survive. But they're in trouble, 68 plant or animal species are threatened or endangered. Over the past 70 years nesting birds have decreased ninety-three percent. The number one reason is loss of habitat.
